Hello everyone!

It has been a while since I last wrote a blog post. I have been busy with my job and I was sick but here I am. :) I guess most of you already know that Cosrx launched a new concealer and cushion a while ago. I like Cosrx and when I read that both products claim to soothe/calm the skin and cover acne-prone skin I really wanted to try them out. I bought a Cosrx-Set on Stylekorean when it was on promotion. The set included the Clear Fit Spot Concealer #21 (Bright Beige), Clear Fit Blemish Cushion #21 (Light Beige) and Clear Fit Master Patch. I got it for $29 (shipping fee not included). I haven't tried their new Master Patches yet so I will only review the concealer and cushion.

What they claim:

Cushion:

- soothes troubled skin

- protects skin from UV-rays

Ingredients:

Concealer:

Centella Asiatica Leaf Water, Titanium Dioxide, Cyclopentasiloxane, Phenyl Trimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Iron Oxides (CI 77492), PEG-10 Dimethicone, Niacinamide, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Mica, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Sodium Chloride, 1,2-Hexanediol, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Aluminum Hydroxide, Iron Oxides (CI 77491), Caprylyl Glycol, Iron Oxides (CI 77499), Methicone, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Adenosine, Squalane, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Water, Ethylhexylglycerin, Madecassoside

As Cosdna this concealer's ingredients aren't harmful. The safety is between 1-3 which means it is low hazard. Also the value of comedogenic and irritant ingredient is between 0-1 (the lower the better).

Cushion:

Titanium Dioxide, Centella Asiatica Leaf Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Phenyl Trimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Cyclohexasiloxane, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, CI 77492, Niacinamide, Diphenylsiloxy Phenyl Trimethicone, Trimethyl-Isiloxysilicate, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Sodium Chloride, Aluminum Hydroxide, Stearic Acid,1,2-Hexanediol, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, CI 77491, Caprylyl Glycol, CI 77499, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Adenosine, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Water, Ethylhexylglycerin, Madecassoside

As Cosdna this applies to the cushion also.

Packaging:

Both products come in a simple but sleek black packaging. As you can see below it leaves many fingerprints which can rather be unflattering. :(

I also wish the text was another colour because it is difficult to read. They are my only fully black products so when I see or want to use them I know they would be the Cosrx concealer or cushion but another text colour would've been nice though.

The concealer comes in a small tube which I personally like because the amount of product is easy to control and it is hygienic.

The cushion has a square shape and a grey sponge. I haven't seen such a coloured sponge before so I think it is quite rare. :) I like the thicker band of the sponge and it also feels to be of good quality. It is compact and easily blends the product. I should mention that this product is the "mochi" type cushion. The good thing is that you don't have to push hard for the product to come out.

Colour/Texture/Coverage

The concealer and cushion come in only two shades (#21 and #23). Shade no. 21 is brighter and has a yellow undertone. The other shade is more natural and has a slightly pink undertone.

I decided to buy shade #21 because I have a pale skin tone and I like products with a bit yellowish undertone to cover my redness. Unfortunately, I find that the undertones of the concealer and cushion are very yellow and don't really suit my skin. :( When I use only a bit of product it is ok and I can manage it but when I want to build a higher coverage it doesn't suit my skin and looks unnatural. I also noticed that a little bit of product goes a long way.

Concealer:

1) using a bit of product (works well and looks natural)

2) using a bit more to build a higher coverage (looks unnatural and too dark on my skin)

(on the right site: with concealer // on the left site: without)

The concealer has a creamy texture but doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It is easy to blend and the coverage is amazing! My blemishes and redness are covered really well. A little goes a long way so you don't need to use much of this product. The finish is matte. It also has a herbal/tea tree like smell but it's pleasant and not too overpowering. I am impressed by its longevity. It lasts for more than 8 hours without looking cakey or patchy. After a few hours there was some shiny/oily patches on my nose and forehead but it wasn't excessive.

Cushion:

Here the same: using a bit of the product is enough; too much looks unnatural

The texture of this cushion is thicker than many cushions I've tried and it is more like a foundation. It can feel quite heavy on the skin. Besides that it is creamy but tend to look a bit cakey after a while. It leaves a semi-matte finish with a natural glow. If you have oily skin or don't like a dewy look I recommend to set your T-zone with a powder. The cushion has a herbal/tea tree like smell but it isn't overpowering. About the coverage I can say that it has a medium to full coverage. It is buildable but it can look cakey when the layers are too thick. Less is more. :)

The cushion isn't moisturizing. It can make dry patches on the skin. So using a good moisturizer beforehand can be advantageous.

My opinion:

I really like the concealer because of its longevity and amazing coverage. As mentioned before a little goes a long way so it isn't necessary to use much of this product. Applying a thin layer is really enough. ♥ If you want to build a higher coverage, please be aware that it might look cakey, unnatural and very yellow. It is my current favourite concealer!

Ok, now about the cushion: To be honest I am not really a big fan of it. The coverage is good but the texture is too thick for my liking. Besides that it looks too yellow on my face when I use the concealer first and apply the cushion afterwards. I also don't like that it starts to look cakey after a couple of hours. :( It isn't the worst cushion I have ever tried but it is also not my favourite. In my opinion it's just an average cushion. I use it sometimes and it is easy to blend with the puff but I won't repurchase it.
